Beginnings

We welcomed three healthy and beautiful baby lambs to the ranch a week ago today. How time flies.

Not much more than a month before, we walked through our first farm birth, and our first farm death, mere hours apart. To see three healthy, fresh-born lambs walking through the pasture with their mother hours after their birth was a sight for sore eyes.

We brought home three little piglets yesterday, too, and they’ll be followed not long after by six more. After a long, hard winter, the sight of new life in the growing green grasses and bounding new-born creatures is a great encouragement.

Farming, of course, moves along with the rhythms of the season. Spring graces our tired winter eyes with sun-soaked days, new life, and sweet hope.

New to the ranch, too, is this very blog, and the website that contains it. I worked on creating this website over several weeks, and, much like farming, I learned a great deal I’m certain I’ll take with me. I’m so delighted to be able to share our stories from the ranch, for there’s so much I want to share.

Thank you for being here and following along with our sweet little ranch. We’re so glad you’re here.
